I took a bike ride along the Boulder Creek today.
I saw Lindsey while on my bike ride.
Lindsey of the fabulous:
She was on a run. We tried to slap high fives as we passed each other.
...it didn't work.

Later I took Lacey face on a nice walk along the creek (two creek trips in one day!).
um... yeah
...thats about it.
Work again tomorrow.

Ah yes, about the picture...
Awhile ago Scott and I set out to make DIY beauty dishes. We walked around The Home Depot gathering supplies. My dish is still only half made. Scott completed his and it has been sitting in our laundry/dog food/bike/1964 Lowry Organ/small studio light room.
Scott moved out from our couch on Friday. He left his Rubik's cubes and some other random stuff at my house, like his dish.
So I grabbed it.

Canon speedlite 430EX inside DIY beauty dish, high camera right firing @ 1/16 power.
The placement of the flash in the dish + its position relative to my face created deep shadows with some strong highlights. Not a perfect exposure...but I was going for the contrast.
I have probably bored all of you to death with this so that should be your fill of artsy fartsy bullshit for the day.

When you said beauty dish, I thought you meant like something you do a facial or pedicures with. I don't know how you'd use a dish doing those things, but then again why would you use one for photography?
Lindsey told me about your run-in. She seemed pretty happy about it.
