Day 585

8/22/2008

taken : 8/22/2008

...

Today Morgan and I went down to The Dove House to shoot the Laura Christopher / Troy Nelson wedding.

...

First off, I will say this was the first opportunity for me to really use the new 70-200mm L lens.

And oh boy...is it siiiiiiick.

here are some samples...

(the married couple)
...

Here is the other thing:

The last 3 photos were shot between ISO 1000 and ISO 1600. It was risky...but I had to do it. The light was in and out all day, and at that point in time it was mostly behind the clouds...and as we can all remember...that L lens is constant only @ f/4.0....so...I needed some ISO boost to help...people were walking fast.

BUT...I noise ninjaed the shit out of those pictures. Noise Ninja is awesome. I haven't even done to custom settings on noise ninja yet. I have been using the calibrated profile for the 40D. sick.

(not to mention the 40D handles noise pretty well anyway...)

...

After the ceremony we finished up the party pictures.

The light was being a bitch the whole time.

...

...

...

It was changing A LOT.

By the end of it the clouds looks sinister.

Also, Troy's glasses were making some specular highlights...not good.

but I think I got it.

...

Anyway...same set up as usual.

...

Another wedding tomorrow...then marathon editing time.

shhhhhhhhit.

...

It was a lovely wedding though...
