(damn the internets for ruining my photos yet again...oh well...)
...
My dear and long time friend Kristi.
Doesn't she look beautiful?
...
Morgan and I headed down to Carbondale for the wedding.
After some bad and pointless traffic on I-70 we hauled ass down there.
...
The location and wedding were both beautiful.
It was a really fun wedding.
...
I had some time to go through just a handful of pictures of the bridal party (I walked away having shot 9 gigs of the whole wedding).
...
So here is the set up for the party pictures.
Shooting mode manual. ISO 200. f/9. 1/160.
Vivitar 285HV firing @ 1/2 power into a soft silver umbrella camera left triggered via PC synch(pictured right). Sunpak 383 firing @ 1/2 into silver umbrella triggered via cactus v2's camera right (pictured left).
I dialed the exposure down to underexpose by 1 stop to get nice shadow tones in the background, and dialed the flashes in for some solid fill light.

...
Surprisingly enough...the Cactus trigger fired reliably the whole time. I was worried that the sunpak would end up misfiring a lot because of those triggers...but it worked! Wooo!
...

...

...

...a candid shot
...

...thanks to Morgan for directing people for these pictures...because I usually just say, "uhhh...do whatever...?"
...
Eventually the sun came out and a few of the pictures of family and parties had a nice goldeny light...I over exposed slightly on those...should have dialed everything down a tad...but nothing I can't fix in post.
...
..anyways..
...
And so starts the long process of actually sorting through and editing all these pictures.
...
Thanks to all for making it a fun a good wedding.
And thanks to Scott for letting me use his pimp ass 1D Mark III and 17-40mm f/4 L Lens while my shit is in the shop. Word.
