(I don't know the title of this...if it even has one)
The above piece was done by my friend Tom Bond. I met Tom last summer in a foundations art class and we had the second semester foundations class together last fall. He made this for our ceramics unit (Tom hates ceramics with a passion).
Tom asked me to photograph a few of his pieces for a portfolio he is throwing together for an art school yonder across the ocean. So today we threw some pieces up against a wall with two 80W 5000K daylight balanced lights with umbrellas on either side...then threw some stuff in the light tent with those same lights minus the umbrellas.

Tom was also recently featured on joyengine.com for some custom Vans he made for fellow foundations second semester student Kristen Smith

New flash today. It is pretty nice...I guess.
We'll see how far I take this flash thing...
