After years of trying...Lacey finally killed...well...whatever that toy was supposed to be. It took 3 years, but she finally did it...and man was she fucking stoked about it.
...I hope the PC Pet Pantry still sells those weird ass things...

Some thoughts on Photography semester 1
It was nice using film again...but I am glad that class is over. I think people are well versed in the arguments for or against traditional film over digital...but seriously...shooting film is SUCH A WASTE.
The amount of paper one simply throws out making test strips/test strips with filters/poorly stopped or fixed prints...blah blah blah
Massive amounts of paper are simply thrown out...
Prints in the final wash need to sit a minimum of 5 minutes. In a running wash. That is basically just turning on the faucet on your sink for five minutes (for RC paper only! Fiber prints need to sit in a running wash for 30-60 minutes!...eff that).
Not to mention that water (as well as developing/stopping/fixing chemicals) becomes contaminated with silver.
It has to be specially collected and driven to a plant that can recycle the silver. Recycle? great...but that is such a waste driving that shit around to a plant.
So whatever...medium format film...you have great resolution...but you are a waste...
...and besides, my digital pushes the border on medium format film.
suck it.
(this is me merely complaining about the technical side of photo 1...not even talking about the students...or the people around the darkroom for that matter...)

As I scrolled down and saw Lacey and what remains of her toy, I got really excited for her. I knew it was a big deal before I read your comments. Give her a hug for me.
